Why I Created By Kan
By Kan was created from lived experience, honest reflection and a deep belief that women do not need more shame in order to change.
I know what it feels like to keep starting over.
For years, I thought I just needed more discipline. More willpower. A better routine. A perfect Monday. A new notebook. A new version of myself.
But what I have learned, both through my own life and through my study of wellbeing, mindfulness and behaviour change, is that our habits are rarely the whole problem.
Sometimes they are the coping.
The comfort.
The pause button.
The thing we reach for when we feel tired, lonely, overwhelmed, disconnected or worn down.
Smoking. Wine. Snacking. Scrolling. Procrastinating. Waiting until life feels easier before we begin again.
I have lived that cycle, and I know how exhausting it can feel.
What I Believe About Change
By Kan is built around one simple belief:
Support before discipline.
Not perfect.
Not overnight.
Not by becoming someone else.
But by slowly coming back to yourself.
I believe change does not begin with shame. It begins with understanding, support, honesty and one realistic step at a time.
Because when a woman feels worn down, stuck or disappointed in herself, she does not usually need another harsh plan to fail at.
She needs space to understand what is really going on underneath the habits.
She needs support that feels possible in real life.
And she needs to begin again in a way that helps her rebuild self-trust, not lose more of it.
How I Support Women
Through By Kan, I bring together lived experience, practical self-support, honest conversation and training in holistic wellbeing, mindfulness and cognitive behavioural approaches.
My work is not about diagnosing, fixing or telling women what they “should” be doing.
It is about helping women understand themselves with more compassion, recognise the patterns underneath their habits, rebuild self-trust and create steadier routines that feel possible in real life.
This may include support around habits, self-sabotage, smoking, wine, food, scrolling, procrastination, confidence, emotional overwhelm or feeling stuck in the same old cycle.
The aim is not to become a perfectly polished version of yourself.
The aim is to come back to yourself, one honest step at a time.

I am here as a real woman who has struggled, learned, studied, rebuilt and continues to choose steadier steps over harsh self-punishment.
